Dear Guppy Parents,

We’re excited to kick off another great season of our Guppy Program! Before registering, please carefully review the following important details.

We are strictly enforcing our swimming ability requirement. The Guppy Program is not an introduction to water but an introduction to strokes and stroke technique. If your child is not yet comfortable swimming independently, we encourage you to take advantage of local swim lesson programs such as the YMCA and Goldfish Swim School, which are currently offering lessons. Please plan ahead so your child is ready and eager to swim!

To participate in Guppies, swimmers must be able to swim the width of the pool (half the length) in any stroke—without stopping, walking on the bottom, or needing assistance. There is no age limit for Guppies, but all swimmers must meet this requirement. New for 2026: All Guppy practices and meets will be held in the front competition pool. 

Additionally, please note that:

• The Guppy Program is not a substitute for swim lessons.
• Each Guppy must have a designated guardian available at every practice.
• Parents and guardians must stay completely off the pool deck during swim practice. You are welcome to hang out in the back pool or the covered area while practice is in session.
